In August 2008, Williams announced a brand new 26-city tour titled "Weapons of Self Destruction". After a six year break from his record breaking tour, Robin decided the time was right to perform again due to the material that could be generated by a presidental election.

Also, he was quoted as saying that this was his last chance to make cracks at the expense of the current Bush Administration.

Robin McLaurim Williams (born July 21, 1951 or 1952)[is an American actor and comedian, who won an Oscar, for his performance in Good Will Hunting, as well as six Golden Globes, two Screen Actors Guild Awards and three Grammy's.

His film career began in 1980 following his success in the television series Mork & Mindy, and he remains active as a film actor and stand-up comedian. He was voted 13th on Comedy Central Presents: 100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All Time.
